I’m almost sure the black college was something he pulled out of because of Jack’s death or it might have been part of the episode with the theme ‘what if Jack hadn’t died‘. I think you’re right, once he met Beth he was only interested in her. I think he visited and considered one but from more recent episodes I could swear him and Beth were at a predominately white college where people were trying to ‘set them up’? Randall went to a predominantly black college for four years. They also showed that Laurel’s friends were activists so I think some connection will be made there between past and present struggles. Whether Laurel is alive or dead, I think Randall will find out he has more siblings and it will add more pressure to the current divide between him and Kevin/Kate. Surely it’s not another secret Rebecca has kept from him? Perhaps it will be a way of resolving the issues he has been experiencing.

I am very curious about how they bring Laurel into the story and how much Randall finds out, if anything. Apparently there is no episode next week because of the Presidential Election so we have to wait another week for episode three.
